Description

This katana is attributed to Den Chōgi (Nagayoshi), a disciple of Masamune, and designated as Jūyō Tōken in 1967. The blade is ō-suriage (shortened in antiquity) and bears a sayagaki by Kanzan (Dr. Honma Junji). Kanzan’s inscription attests to the blade’s quality, praising its healthy steel and appropriate workmanship.
