This is a wakizashi made by Shichibei no jyo Sukesada, the legitimate son of Toshirō Sukesada and the 5th generation descendant of Yosazaemon no jyo Sukesada. Dated to 1652, it is a Shinto-era blade from Bizen Province. The blade features a vibrant gunome-chōji hamon with fine activity, characteristic of the old Sukesada style, despite being a relatively rare work from this smith.
