This is a tanto made by Yokoyama Sukekane of Bishu Osafune in the Meiji era (1875). Sukekane was an adopted son of Yokoyama Kananosuke Sukemori and, along with Kaga no Suke Sukenaga, was a representative smith of the Bizen Shin-Shinto period. The blade length is 15cm.
