Description

This is a wakizashi by Morimitsu of Osafune in Bizen province, dating to the early Muromachi period. Morimitsu lived in a complex era and created his own style, based on the works of Bizen Ichimonji, Nagamitsu, and Kagemitsu. The blade features a mokume hada and a unique utsuri, with a bright hamon of wide gunome or a neat straight temper line.
