Shinshinto Mumei Tanto with Aikuchi-Koshirae.本作は無銘の新々刀短刀です。正確な流派は不明ですが、柾目肌から仙台國包系の可能性があります。刀身は冠落とし造りで、おそらく儀礼用やお守り刀として作られたものと思われます。付属する合口拵は幕末の松代拵で、状態も概ね良好です。お守り短刀として特におすすめの一振りです。This piece is an unsigned Shinshinto tanto. While the exact school is unknown, the masame-hada (straight-grain forging pattern) suggests it may belong to the Sendai Kunitsugu lineage.The blade is crafted in the kanmuri-otoshi-zukuri style and was likely made as a ceremonial or protective dagger.The accompanying aikuchi koshirae is a Matsushiro-style mounting from the late Edo period and is in relatively good condition.
