This is a Sunnobi-Tanto blade by Osafune Yasumitsu, a master Bizenden craftsman active around the Oei period in the early Muromachi period. The blade is in very good condition and includes a Shirasaya and Matsushiro-Koshirae. The Shirasaya features a Sayagaki autographed by Fukunaga Suiken Sensei.

Its expert panels physically examine each submitted work (shinsa) and issue a certificate (kanteishō) ranking it by artistic and historical merit.
