説明

This piece is a Shobu style short sword from the Shinshinto period. The preservation of the sword is excellent and clean, with no flaws or rust of any kind. The well-packed itame jitetsu is well decorated with niedeki gunome midare hamon. Hataraki such as yo and kinsen can be seen. The names Fujiwara Yukihira is engraved on the nakago. Yukihira, who made this dagger, was a swordsmith active in Satsuma Province (present-day Kagoshima Prefecture) during the Kyoho period of the Edo era, and was the son of the first Somekawa Tarozaemon. Shobu-zukuri's sword is made with dignity, and a sense of supremacy that somehow represents the spirit of the Satsuma samurai. This work is highly worthy of preservation for posterity, and the Society for Preservation of Japanese Art Swords issued a certificate of authenticity for it in January 2006, recognizing it as a genuine work of Yukihira with a hozon certification. This dagger, with its full range of Samurai-like qualities, is a must-have addition to your Japanese sword collection.
