長さ2尺2寸2分本太刀は備後の国(広島県)の応永時代(1394年)(621年前)の法華一乗と極められた無銘の太刀です。本太刀は身幅がやや狭く重ね厚く腰反りで鎬がやや高く先に反りが無い見事な太刀姿を現し、地金は小板目肌が良く鍛えられ力強い地金を鍛え、刃紋は直刃調に小互の目の足が見事に入り刃中良く働いています。如何にも見るものに感動をあたえる太刀です。法華一乗は古来有名ですが、在銘の現存作殆ど無く、無銘なれども本太刀は大変貴重な太刀です。法華一乗の名刀を是非お楽しみ下さいませ。
