Description

This ô-suriage mumei katana is attributed to Yamato Shizu, representing the early work of Shizu Saburô Kaneuji before his study under Masamune. It exhibits classical Yamato-den characteristics with a vigorous itame and masame-gakari jihada and a notare-based hamon. The blade is designated Jûyô Tôken by the NBTHK and comes with a custom koshirae and a shirasaya with a sayagaki by Satô Kanzan.
