This sword has a typical Bakumatsu style, with a shallow curvature and a wide blade width. The sword is very well preserved, and the fitting ornaments are original and in very good condition. There are a few flaws on the blade, but no hagire. The sword was originally smithed with a longer blade, but was shortened with the suri-age method.
