This is a tachi by Gassan Sadakatsu, forged in 1940 for the 2600th anniversary of the Empire of Japan. It features the characteristic ayasugi hada of the Gassan school and comes with NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon papers. The sword is mounted in its original koshirae and is in perfect condition.
