The blade comes with an Aikuchi koshirae featuring a gold nashiji lacquer saya decorated with lions and peonies, and is accompanied by an NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Token certificate.

Its expert panels physically examine each submitted work (shinsa) and issue a certificate (kanteishō) ranking it by artistic and historical merit.
