This is a katana by the smith Enomoto Sadayoshi, dated to the 53rd year of Showa (1978). Sadayoshi was a Mukansa-ranked smith, known for his robust Soshu-den style. The blade features a wide body, thick kasane, and a grand o-kissaki, with a well-forged itame hada and a bright, deep nioiguchi hamon.
