This is a tanto by Hosokawa Masayoshi, a talented student of Suishinshi Masahide, from the late Edo period (1827). The blade features a gunome choji hamon and koitame jigane. It comes with a koshirae with gold foil maki-nuri saya and a shirasaya, and is accompanied by a Tokubetsu Hozon Token certificate from the NBTHK.
