Description

This is a wakizashi made by Bishu Osafune Sukesada in the late Muromachi period (Tensho 2nd year, 1574). The blade features a well-forged mokume hada with ji-nie and chikei, and a chu-suguha hamon with ko-ashi and ko-midare, with fine nie and kinsuji. The koshirae is original to the time of production, with only the kozuka missing.
