This is a katana by the second-generation Minamoto Nobukuni Yoshimasa, a jô-saku ranked smith from the Chikuzen Nobukuni school. The blade features a dense ko-mokume hada with ji-nie and chikei, and a brilliant ko-chôji midare hamon. It comes with NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon certification for both the sword and its exceptional koshirae, which has Owari Tokugawa family provenance.
