Gold menuki featuring ears of rice, made by Toumei from Yamashiro province during the Edo period. Araki Toumei (1817-1870) was a student of Goto Tojo and Goto Ichijo, known for his depictions of millet ears. This piece has been designated Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu.
