Description

This katana is attributed to Kashu Katsuie and dates to the late Muromachi period. The blade has been significantly shortened but retains a beautiful, deeply curved shape. The hamon features bright nioiguchi in the lower part and a subdued appearance in the upper part, with a mix of small gunome, small choji, and gentle undulations, along with frequent ashi. It comes with a Hozon certificate, a copper habaki, and a shirasaya.
