(大和千手院は貴重な刀です)長さ2尺5寸4分半大和の最も古い刀工集団で大和の千手院に所属していた寺院鍛冶です。本刀は鎌倉末期(正中頃)(1324年頃)(約700年前)の千手院の刀で姿は元に踏ん張りが有り、反りが深く先反りが無く、小切っ先の鎌倉期の太刀姿を現した生無銘の貴重な太刀です。姿は地肌は板目に流れ柾が交じって細かな地沸がつき。刃紋は小沸出来の小乱れに丁子が交じり刃中に砂流しや金筋が交じり刃中相州正宗が手本にしたと言われる、大和上工の作で、ちじに乱れ、素晴らしく覇気が有る刃を焼いています。大和千手院の刀の生の姿の現存刀は非常に少なく本刀は大変貴重な名刀です。お楽しみ下さいませ。
