This is a late Koto period katana by Iwamaki from the Mino school, measuring 71.9cm. It features a robust form suitable for practical use, with a moist, muji-style jigane and a tight gunome hamon with pointed elements. The blade is recommended for iaido and tameshigiri, and comes with a sturdy koshirae with a re-wrapped tsuka and a large round tsuba, housed in a new black ishime saya. A small fukure is noted on the blade.
