Description

Daisho tsuba with a flower basket design made by Naomitsu of Inaba Province during the late Edo period. The tsuba feature a bold composition of flower baskets with chrysanthemums, carved in high relief with cloth inlay on an iron ground. The details of the petals, stamens, and leaves are finely rendered, with gold cloth inlay adding depth and life.
