This is a katana by Nagahiro, a smith who studied under Yokoyama Sukenaga of Bizen Osafune and was active in Suo province from the late Edo period to the early Meiji era. The blade features a vibrant gunome-midare hamon with abundant nie and nioi, and intricate horimono of a waterfall Fudo and a dragon chasing a jewel. It comes with both shirasaya and koshirae, and is in excellent condition.
