This katana was forged by Choshu Nagahiro, a swordsmith operating in the late Edo Period. The blade is finely forged with a tight ko-itame hada reminiscent of Bizen works and a hamon following in the footsteps of Bizen Osafune work. It is rated “Tokubetsu Hozon” by the NBTHK.
