This is a nicely mounted tanto signed by Gassan Sadayoshi and dated February 1864. The blade features a ko-itame hada, choji midare hamon, and is in excellent polish with only a minor flaw. It comes with a shirasaya and a shakudo tsuba with fine nanako, and is accompanied by a 1978 paper from Fukunaga Suiken attesting to its authenticity.
