This is a katana made by Gassan Sadayoshi, dating back to February of Bunkyu 3 (1863). Sadayoshi was a prominent smith in the Gassan school during the late Edo period. The blade features a fine ko-itame jigane and a nioi-deki suguha hamon with kinsuji.
