Description

This is a round iron tsuba featuring a design of Shoki on a bridge with a demon hiding behind the bridge girder. It is made by Nara Kozaemon of the Nara school, who lived in Edo during the Edo period. The tsuba has high relief carving, openwork, and inlaid colored enamel, with a covered rim.
