Description

This is a tsuba made by Tougintei Yoshiteru during the Edo period. Yoshiteru was a student of Araki Toumei, who was a disciple of Goto Ichijo, and later became a disciple of Sato Touho. The tsuba is made of shakudo and features a high level of craftsmanship, suggesting it was a custom-made piece cherished as a family treasure.
