Description

This is a tsuba (sword guard) made by Goto Mitsuhisa in Kyoto, Yamashiro province during the Late Edo period. It features a design of pigeons and arrowheads with high relief carving and inlay on an iron base with an overturned ear. The tsuba comes with a kiri (paulownia wood) box.
