Description

This is a katana attributed to the Yamato Shizu school, dating back to the Nanbokucho period (around the Enbun era). The blade is unsigned (mumei) and has been significantly shortened (o-suriage). Yamato Shizu blades retain a strong Yamato character compared to later Shizu works.
