This is a katana by Kyushu Higo Dodanuki Kozuke no suke, who initially signed as 'Nobuyoshi' and later changed to 'Masakuni' after serving Kato Kiyomasa. It is said that he forged swords while accompanying Kiyomasa during the Korean campaigns. Dodanuki school works are highly regarded as practical battle swords, and while rare, excellent examples with few flaws remain, showcasing their undeniable skill.
