This is a gendaito katana by Miyamoto Kanenori, an Imperial Household Artisan. The blade features a shinogi zukuri sugata, a midare hamon, and a komaru boshi. It is dated Taisho 1 (1912) and has a prominent Hatatatsu hada. The koshirae includes a black lacquer saya, iron fuchi, shakudo kashira, and an iron sukashi tsuba.
