Description

This katana is attributed to Hatakeda Moritoshi, active in the late Kamakura period in Bizen province. It was handed down in the Date family and later owned by Sugiyama Shigemaru. The blade features a small-pattern choji hamon and a tight itame hada with mokume, covered in ji-nie.
