Description

This is a wakizashi by Fujiwara Munekage of the Takada school in Bungo province, active from the late Muromachi to early Edo period. It features a powerful sugata with an extended kissaki and saki-zori, showcasing a well-forged hada with flowing itame and ji-nie. The hamon is based on suguha with some midare, ko-gunome, and sunagashi, complemented by a shallow notare boshi.
