This is an unsigned Katana attributed to the Echizen Rai school, active around the late Nanbokucho period (circa 1400). It features a slightly wide blade with Mitsumune and a slightly long kissaki, with two lines of Hi carved on the blade. The jigane displays a distinctive Ko-itame mixed with Itame and moku, covered with Ji-nie and prominent Chikei, characteristic of the Echizen Rai school. It comes with a shirasaya and a koshirae, and is certified as NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Token.
