Description

This is a supreme tanto made by the 1st generation TADAHIRO, active in the early Edo period (1624-32) in Hizen province. It features a Hira-zukuri construction with a wide mihaba and thick kasane, displaying a brave and majestic 'Kan'ei-Shinto style'. The blade comes with a Tokubetsu Hozon certificate and is housed in a black Ro-iro lacquered Aikuchi-style koshirae, also with a Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu certificate for its Futatokoro fittings.
