This is a wakizashi by Omi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro, the son of Hizen Kuni Tadayoshi. He succeeded his deceased father at the age of 19 in 1632 (Kanei 9). With the help of senior disciples, he preserved the family's legacy, crafted presentation swords for his lord Nabeshima, and refined the straight and irregular temper lines he studied with his father, introducing new innovations.
