This is a katana by Mutsu no Kami Kaneyasu, also known as Hidari Mutsu due to his distinctive mirror-image signature. Active in the early Edo period, he moved to Osaka from the Yamato Tegai school and became a renowned Jôsaku smith. This blade showcases his unique style with a mix of Itame and Masame jigane, and a vibrant Gunome Midare hamon with abundant activity.
