Description

This is a tanto made by Minamoto Masakage, who was originally from Etchu province and later moved to Echigo province. He studied under Minamoto Masao and Suishinshi Masatsugu. The tanto is dated August, Ansei 6 (1730), placing it in the late Edo period.
