NihontoWatchBETAThis is a tanto made by Norinaga of the late Shikkake school during the early Muromachi period (circa 15th century). The blade features itame and mokume jigane with chikei, and a ko-nie based thin suguha hamon. The koshirae includes metal fittings with shicuichi-base carved with arabesque and a kozuka with copper nanako base carved with birds.
