This is the Noshu Seki-ju Kanesada from the same era as Kotetsu in Edo. This wakizashi has an excellent sugata with a difference between the moto-mihaba and saki-mihaba and a somewhat deep sori. The jigane shows a well-kneaded itame-hada mixed with mokume-hada. The hamon is a nioi-deki with abundant nie in a gunome-midare mixed with togari-ba, displaying many sunagashi and nie-suji within the ha; it possesses great haki and a texture that truly feels like it would cut well. We have received this Noshu Seki-ju Kanesada from an old family who has cherished it for generations, with the request to pass it on cheaply to someone who wishes to own a Kanesada.
