現代甲冑師の名工、三浦公法氏により制作された銀泥塗富士山形貼懸兜。三浦公法氏は現在僅かに存在する甲冑師の一人で、森田朝二郎(もりた ともじろう)氏に師事し、三十一歳の若さで日本甲冑武具研究保存会から推薦甲冑師の指定を受けた。全国の博物館などに奉納されている甲冑の修理や戦国当時の甲冑の完全復元制作などを手がけ、1975年には、英国王立武器博物館所蔵の徳川家康より国王ジェームズ1世に贈られた日本甲冑を修理。以後国内にとどまらず、世界を舞台に甲冑師として活躍。2008年に板橋区無形文化財に認定された現代の名甲冑師である。本作は賤ヶ岳七本槍の一人として勇名を馳せた伊予国(愛媛県)20万石の大名、加藤左馬之助嘉明の用いた兜として古来有名で、現在は靖国神社に所蔵される銀泥塗富士山形貼懸兜の復元作品である。丸鉢に練革で富士山形を張懸け、銀泥を塗ったもので、後部には馬の毛で元取がつけられている。大変な大形であるため、さぞや重量のある兜と思って持ち上げた武士が意外な軽さに後ろにひっくり返ったというという逸話が残っている同作であるが、本作はどうか、是非自身の手で確かめて頂きたい。 This is a Gindei-nuri Fujisan-gata Harikake Kabuto (Silver Mud-Lacquered Mount Fuji-Shaped Helmet), crafted by the renowned modern armor maker, Miura Kimihiro.Miura Kimihiro is one of the few remaining contemporary katchūshi (armor makers). He studied under Morita Tomojiro and, at the young age of 31, was designated a Recommended Armor Maker by the Society for the Study and Preservation of Japanese Armor and Arms. He has been involved in the restoration of armor displayed in museums across Japan, as well as the complete reproduction of authentic Sengoku-period armor.In 1975, he undertook the restoration of a Japanese suit of armor housed in the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK, which had originally been presented by Tokugawa Ieyasu to King James I. Since then, his work has extended beyond Japan, establishing him as a globally recognized master of armor craftsmanship. In 2008, he was designated an Intangible Cultural Property of Itabashi Ward, further solidifying his status as a modern master armor maker.This piece is a reproduction of the Gindei-nuri Fujisan-gata Harikake Kabuto famously worn by Katō Yoshiakira, known as Katō Samanosuke, one of the Seven Spears of Shizugatake and a daimyō of Iyo Province (modern-day Ehime Prefecture) with a fief of 200,000 koku.
