This is an Edo period tsuba made by Bushu ju Masatsune, an excellent craftsman active from Genroku to Kyoho eras. Masatsune was a tsuba maker for the shogunate and is credited with establishing the popularity of Bushu Ito tsuba. The tsuba measures 7.53cm in height, 7.35cm in width, and 0.44cm in thickness, weighing 126g.
