Description

This is a scarlet thread laced gold scale domaru gusoku armor, said to have been bestowed upon Ii Naotaka by the Tokugawa Shogunate. The helmet (kabuto) is signed by Saotome Iesada. Historical records indicate it was received from Tokugawa Ietsuna in 1652 and also worn by Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600. It comes with a vermilion lacquered armor chest bearing the Ii family crest.
