This is a katana made by Akamatsutaro Kanehiro, a renowned swordsmith from the Akamatsu school in Higo Province. Known for his skill in creating blades in the style of Kiyomaro, this sword exhibits excellent craftsmanship. The smith uses self-produced tamahagane steel, and his work has received numerous awards at new sword exhibitions.
