This is a modern wakizashi made by Kanehiro (Akamatsu Taro Kanehiro) from Higo province. The blade is 54.2cm long with a curvature of 1.5cm and comes with a katana koshirae. The smith is known for his Kiyomaro-style reproductions and this particular wakizashi was re-imported after being exported a few years ago.
