Description

This katana is attributed to Kanesaki of Mimasaka Province, active during the late Edo period (around Tenmei era, 1781-1789). It features a thick kasane and a normal width, with an Itame hada jigane. The hamon is a gentle Notare mixed with Ko-nie and Hira-gunome, showing Hataraki like Sunagashi, and a gently returning Boshi. The blade has a beautiful, well-disordered hamon and an imposing presence, accompanied by a period uchigatana koshirae.
