This is a katana made by Akamatsutaro Kanehiro, who was born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1961 and began making swords in 1981. This particular sword is a custom-made copy of the Kogarasumaru, which was hardened and registered in July of this year. It is a newly made sword with recently completed mountings.
