Description

This is an iron tsuba featuring a landscape of Oumi (present-day Shiga Prefecture) made by Ikkou of the Shoami school during the Edo period. The tsuba is round-shaped with sukidashi-bori carving and gold and shakudo inlay. It depicts the "Eight Views of Omi" which were popular during the Edo period.
