Description

This is a Kyo-Shoami tsuba from the late Edo period. It features a design of plum, chrysanthemum, and weeping willow on the front, and peony and butterfly on the back, all arranged in a scattered fan composition. The tsuba is made of high-quality shakudo with a polished finish, and the fan surfaces have an isimeji (stone texture) finish to highlight the plants.
