This is a tachi by the smith Miyairi Kiyohira, who was born in Nagano Prefecture in Taisho 13 (1924). He studied under his brother Yukihira and forged swords following the style of the renowned master Minamoto Kiyomaro from his hometown. His works are characterized by powerful forms and clear jigane and hamon, earning him numerous special awards at new sword exhibitions.
